Privacy Policy

MOTO.LOGBOOK is a free motorcycle maintenance app built by VECO.TECH. It has two parts: this website (motologbook.io) and the app (app.motologbook.io). We keep data collection to a minimum. This page explains what is collected, why, and who processes it.

The website

The website has no user accounts and no contact form. It uses Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to understand aggregate traffic and page performance. These collect anonymised usage and performance data and are not used to personally identify you.

Your account

When you sign in to the app, we store your email address to create and secure your account. Your email is how you sign in and how we keep your data linked to you. Anything you add in the app - your vehicles, maintenance records, engine hours and odometer readings, and uploaded manuals - is stored against your account.

Uploaded manuals

To help set up your maintenance schedule, you can upload your motorcycle's owner's manual (PDF). When you do, the file is sent to Anthropic (the Claude API) to read the service intervals out of it. Anthropic processes the manual only to return that information to the app and does not use it to train its models. The uploaded file itself is stored against your account in Supabase.

Where your data is stored

Your account and app data are stored hosted in a secure Supabase environment, protected so that you can only access your own data. Product analytics data is stored by PostHog on its EU Cloud (eu.i.posthog.com), and app error reports are stored by Sentry so we can find and fix bugs. Sentry captures unhandled app errors and, once you are signed in, attaches your account id and email to error reports so we can trace issues back to your account. Operational email notifications, such as account-deletion requests, are delivered by Resend in the United States.

Product analytics

We use PostHog, hosted on its EU Cloud (eu.i.posthog.com), to understand how riders use the app so we can improve it based on real usage.

Events are only captured once you have logged in and are identified. Before you log in, PostHog writes an anonymous device identifier to your browser's storage, but no analytics events are captured before login.

What we capture: product usage events, and the person properties email, locale, and signup date. Your PostHog distinct id is your account id.

PostHog also derives an approximate, country/city-level location from your IP address for regional usage analytics. We do not collect precise or GPS location.

What we do not capture: no session replay, no autocapture of taps or screens, no ad tracking or cross-app tracking. PostHog data is first-party product analytics - it is never sold or shared with data brokers.

Legal basis: continuing to use the app after signing in constitutes acceptance of this policy, including this analytics section (see the notice shown on the app's login screen).

What we do not do

We do not sell your data and we do not show third-party advertising. Your personal information is never shared with third parties for their own use. The only third parties involved are the infrastructure providers that run the service on our behalf - Supabase (database and hosting), Vercel (hosting and analytics), PostHog (product analytics), Sentry (error monitoring), Anthropic (data extraction of user manuals), and Resend (operational email notifications, such as account-deletion requests).

Your choices and data deletion

You can ask what information relating to you is held, or request deletion of your account and all associated data, in two ways:

In the app: tap Delete account in your Profile screen.

On the web (no login required): email info@vecotech.io with your account email address.

Deleting your account in the app removes it immediately and permanently - this can't be undone. Deletion requests sent by email are processed within 30 days. Either way, deletion covers everything we hold about you: your account, your bikes and service history, any files you uploaded, and your analytics records.
